Integrative Counselling.

Therapy tailored to you and your needs.

Integrative counselling doesn’t follow a single rulebook. It draws from a range of evidence-based approaches and combines them in a way that fits you: your history, your pace, and what you’re bringing to the room. No two people are the same, and neither is the work we do together.

WHAT TO EXPECT

A grounded, supported path from start to finish

01

The Intro Call

Before we begin, we have a free 15–20 minute call. It’s a chance to talk about what’s brought you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a feel for whether we’d work well together. There’s no commitment and no pressure.

02

Your First Session

The first session is about getting to know each other. We’ll explore what’s going on for you, what you’re hoping to get from therapy, and begin to think about how we might work together.

03

Ongoing Sessions

Sessions are 50 minutes, typically weekly or forthnightly. As we build a picture of what’s happening for you, the approach adapts, drawing on different methods depending on what’s most useful at any given point.

Integrative counselling

An approach that adapts to what you need

I don’t follow a single model. Instead, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and combine them in a way that fits you: your history, your pace, and what you’re working through.

Main Approaches & Modalities

Person-Centred Therapy: You, as the expert on your own life, are at the center. I offer a non-judgmental, empathic space where you can explore your experiences freely.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: A practical, structured approach that looks at the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Useful when you want to understand patterns that keep showing up, and develop concrete tools to shift them.

Psychodynamic & Psychoanalytical: Explores how your past (your early relationships, experiences, and the stories you carry) shapes how you feel and behave today. Useful for understanding deeper patterns and making sense of things that feel hard to explain.

Mindfulness: To ground yourself in the present moment and regulate your nervous system. Woven into sessions where it feels useful, not as a standalone technique.

Other Techniques & Approaches

Solution-focused Therapy: Looks at where you want to be rather than dwelling on what’s gone wrong. Useful for building momentum and clarity about what you’re moving towards.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy: Helps you relate to difficult thoughts and feelings differently, creating space between you and them, and moving towards what matters most to you.

Therapeutic & Expressive Arts: Writing, poetry, drawing, and other creative tools as a way of accessing and expressing what’s hard to put into words. No artistic experience needed, just openness.

Dialectical Behavioural Therapy Skills: A structured set of skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and building distress tolerance. Particularly useful for emotional regulation.

Somatic Therapy: Attends to the body as well as the mind. Useful for understanding how stress, anxiety, and trauma show up physically, and how to work with that.

Areas of Support

Support shaped around the
complexity of life

Culturally aware. Trauma Informed. Holistic.

Anxiety & Mood Management

When everything feels heavy or out of control, having a steady space to slow down and reflect can make a real difference. Together we can build self-awareness, understanding and find the strategies that actually work for you.

Life Transitions

Change, whether chosen or not, can be disorienting and challenging. Together we can find your footing, learn to cope better, and move through it with clarity.

Relationships

Whether you’re navigating conflict, loss, loneliness, or patterns you keep repeating, therapy can help you understand what’s happening, set boundaries, and build healthier connections. Relationships matter, whether with ourselves or others.

Trauma

Processing difficult or painful experiences takes time and the right conditions. I work at your pace, without pressure, creating a safe and steady space to process what has happened and begin to heal.

Identity & Self-worth

Questions about who you are, where you belong, or how you see yourself are worth taking seriously. We can explore them with curiosity and without judgment.

Grief

Grief is an inherently human response. Losing someone, something, a plan, or a version of yourself can be profoundly painful. Together we can find a way through it, making space to grieve and grow around it.

The Immigrant Experience

Navigating life between cultures, adjusting, belonging, holding more than one identity at once, is its own kind of challenge. I understand this experience personally, and bring that awareness into our work.

FAQ

Further answers

Don’t see your question? Get in touch.

How does an integrative approach work?

Integrative counselling means I draw from a range of evidence-based methods, including CBT, person-centred therapy, ACT, and trauma-informed practice, rather than applying a single fixed model. The approach adapts to what feels most useful for you, and evolves as you do.

How do I know which approach will be used?

e’ll talk about this together. As I get to know you and what you’re bringing, I’ll draw on whichever methods feel most useful, and I’ll always be transparent about what I’m doing and why. You can ask questions at any point.

What if I find it hard to open up?

That’s completely normal, especially at the start. There’s no expectation to share everything straight away. We go at your pace, and building trust is part of the work.

Do I have to commit to a certain number of sessions?

No. We usually start with a few sessions to see how we work together, then review. You’re free to end at any point, although notice would be appreciated.

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?

That’s exactly what the intro call is for. It’s free, low-pressure, and a good way to ask questions before deciding anything.

I don’t have a specific goal for therapy or I don’t know what I need?

You don’t need one. We can figure that out together as we go, and it’s completely fine for it to change. That’s one of the strengths of integrative counselling: it isn’t fixed from the start, it evolves as you and the process do.

Do you offer sessions in Spanish?

Yes. I work bilingually in English and Spanish. Sessions can be held fully in either language, or a mix of both. Whatever feels most natural to you.

Do I need to have been in therapy before?

Not at all. Whether this is your first time or you’re returning after a break, you’ll find a space that’s welcoming and entirely at your pace.
