Areas of Support

Support shaped around the
complexity of life

Culturally aware. Trauma Informed. Holistic.

Anxiety & Mood Management

When everything feels heavy or out of control, having a steady space to slow down and reflect can make a real difference. Together we can build self-awareness, understanding and find the strategies that actually work for you.

Life Transitions

Change, whether chosen or not, can be disorienting and challenging. Together we can find your footing, learn to cope better, and move through it with clarity.

Relationships

Whether you’re navigating conflict, loss, loneliness, or patterns you keep repeating, therapy can help you understand what’s happening, set boundaries, and build healthier connections. Relationships matter, whether with ourselves or others.

Trauma

Processing difficult or painful experiences takes time and the right conditions. I work at your pace, without pressure, creating a safe and steady space to process what has happened and begin to heal.

Identity & Self-worth

Questions about who you are, where you belong, or how you see yourself are worth taking seriously. We can explore them with curiosity and without judgment.

Grief

Grief is an inherently human response. Losing someone, something, a plan, or a version of yourself can be profoundly painful. Together we can find a way through it, making space to grieve, and grow around it.

The Immigrant Experience

Navigating life between cultures, adjusting, belonging, holding more than one identity at once, is its own kind of challenge. I understand this experience personally, and bring that awareness into our work.

Hello, I’m Daniela

A warm, skilled presence for the work that matters

I’m an integrative counsellor based in Manchester, originally from the Dominican Republic. My path has taken me across different countries and cultures before settling here.

My approach draws from a range of evidence-based methods, shaped to what works for you rather than following a fixed model. I believe the relationship between counsellor and client is the foundation of everything.

I offer a warm, culturally aware, creative, and genuinely collaborative space. One that meets you where you are, adapts to you, and holds space for all of who you are, not just the part that’s struggling. Together, we’ll work to understand what’s going on for you, at a pace that feels right, and move towards the change you’re looking for.

An approach that adapts to what you need

I don’t follow a single model. Instead, I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and combine them in a way that fits you: your history, your pace, and what you’re working through.

Main Approaches & Modalities

Person-Centred Therapy: You, as the expert on your own life, are at the center. I offer a non-judgmental, empathic space where you can explore your experiences freely.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: A practical, structured approach that looks at the connections between your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Useful when you want to understand patterns that keep showing up, and develop concrete tools to shift them.

Psychodynamic & Psychoanalytical: Explores how your past (your early relationships, experiences, and the stories you carry) shapes how you feel and behave today. Useful for understanding deeper patterns and making sense of things that feel hard to explain.

Mindfulness: To ground yourself in the present moment and regulate your nervous system. Woven into sessions where it feels useful, not as a standalone technique.

It might be worth a conversation.

A single conversation might be enough to know whether this is the right fit. There’s no pressure, just an opportunity to explore.

FAQ

Things People Often Want to Know First

Don’t see your question? Get in touch.

How does an integrative approach work?

Integrative counselling means I draw from a range of evidence-based methods, including CBT, person-centred therapy, ACT, and trauma-informed practice, rather than applying a single fixed model. The approach adapts to what feels most useful for you, and evolves as you do.

What are your fees?

Sessions are £60.

Do you offer sliding-scale or reduced fees?

I offer a small number of reduced-fee spaces for those on low incomes or trainee counsellors. We will discuss this further during your introductory call.

Session packages are also available to help make support more affordable.

Where do sessions take place?

In person in Manchester city centre (Deansgate), or remotely via Google Meet, WhatsApp, FaceTime, or telephone (whichever works best for you).

What if I’m not sure therapy is right for me?

That’s exactly what the intro call is for. It’s free, low-pressure, and a good way to ask questions before deciding anything.

I don’t have a specific goal for therapy or I don’t know what I need?

You don’t need one. We can figure that out together as we go, and it’s completely fine for it to change. That’s one of the strengths of integrative counselling: it isn’t fixed from the start, it evolves as you and the process do.

Do you offer sessions in Spanish?

Yes. I work bilingually in English and Spanish. Sessions can be held fully in either language, or a mix of both. Whatever feels most natural to you.

Do I need to have been in therapy before?

Not at all. Whether this is your first time or you’re returning after a break, you’ll find a space that’s welcoming and entirely at your pace.

TESTIMONIALS

Real Feedback, Real Clients

What clients shared about their experiences

Daniela gave me tools to cope with my anxiety and panic attacks and helped get things in perspective. She was incredibly supportive and I felt the overall experience was very positive.

I have been blown away by my counselling sessions, and how effective they have been on my life! Daniela is extremely professional, calm, consistent and wise. It was a time where I felt safe.

I have just completed a 6 sessions of counselling with Daniela, which I found to be so beneficial, and has supported me to deal with my issues in so many ways. I felt comfortable talking to Daniela. The sessions were non-judgmental, felt I was in a safe space, listened to and was provided with so many tools/resources which I was able to use after the sessions. I was able to explore my own thoughts with someone I could trust and who understood how I was feeling. I actually looked forward to the sessions as I could start to feel more in control and confident after the first couple of sessions.

Daniela was amazing start to finish. Considering it was my first time receiving therapy she made it a pleasurable experience. Can’t thank her enough for making me feel so comfortable.

Daniela was helpful, understanding, patient, nonjudgmental and challenged me in a positive way. She helped me understand myself and the importance of taking care of myself. I felt very safe in her hands.

Daniela has helped me see through my trauma, and I feel now how I have wanted to for so long. She has helped me make sense of things and I feel that she has helped me piece myself together and thoughts have ‘clicked’ into place. Daniela has also provided me with ‘Tools’ which I will use now and within my life.
